11am Saturday 21st September – The Big Dig – Thornbridge Allotments

Following the success of our MacMillan Coffee Morning (£365 raised!) and Vegetable Show, it is now time to focus our attention on The Big Dig and Edible Garden Day.  Thornbridge Alotments are opening the gates once again to anyone and everyone who is interested in growing their own, plants, wildlife – essentially anything to do with the gardening.

We are being joined by the RSPB, Rangers from the City Parks department and a host of horticulture, tree, fruit, and anything else you can think of, experts.

There will be the opportunity for everyone to plant their own onion to take away with them to set them on their way to growing their own.

There will also be plenty of information available to take away so that you can take home some of what you learn to your own gardens.

And obviously, as it’s an allotment, there will be plenty of tea and coffee available!  We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
