Birmingham Botanical Gardens celebrates 2012 Olympics
We, the authors of this blogpost (our first!), are the trainees at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
Part of our work this year included creating a vegetable plot. We were keen to do something eye-catching and different. We came up with this idea — we’d celebrate the 2012 Olympics by showcasing vegetables grown in the different countries training in the UK.
So we created this fascinating display of vegetables and other edible plants from all round the world. You can see it for yourself — head out of the tropical glasshouses on to the terrace. Take a left and go down hill, past the birds and carry on down almost to the edge of the Gardens, where you can see our potting sheds and nurseries.
That’s where we are!
